Service 01 · Labour Supply

The right person for the job, not just a body on site.

We supply competent workers to UK safety-critical rail projects. Every placement is matched to the real task and the real conditions, and stays managed for the length of the assignment.

What gets supplied

People with real competence for real rail work.

Every worker placed through Sedulous Rail is Sentinel-sponsored and verified as competent for the specific tasks they're being asked to carry out — not just cleared to be on infrastructure.

  • Track-safety-competent operatives
  • COSS / SWL / IWA where scoped
  • Signalling installation and testing support
  • HV / DC third rail trained personnel
  • Groundworkers and concreting teams
  • Structural steel erectors and working-at-height crews
  • Site supervisors and safety-critical leads
  • Quality and ITP support

How placement actually runs

A process built for safety-critical work.

01

Understand the requirement

We start with the actual work — task, site conditions, duration, safety-critical responsibilities — not a job title on a spreadsheet.

02

Check the person is genuinely suitable

Competence, Sentinel status, medicals, fatigue considerations and any project-specific briefings — verified before we put a name forward.

03

Place with clear expectations

The worker knows the scope, the reporting line, the standards, and what 'good' looks like on that site. So do you.

04

Stay involved

We don't disappear after introduction. Issues, changes, extensions or off-hires all come back through us — properly logged.

If you're a rail worker

You'll be placed properly, and treated like a professional.

We think the standards you're held to are the standards we should be held to. That means clear expectations before you turn up on site, safety taken seriously in practice (not just in a briefing), and a named point of contact for the whole assignment.

  • Scope, site and reporting line confirmed before you accept.
  • Sentinel and competence records handled correctly.
  • Fatigue, shift patterns and welfare treated as real issues, not paperwork.
  • Someone answers the phone if something on site isn't right.
